For the past 12 or 13 years, as my family has said our goodnight’s, the following words have been sometimes spoken, but many times yelled from one room to another: “I am grateful you are in my life”.

After watching the video today, I looked up and saw my daughters smiling faces.I continued watching…more smiles and a lot of laughter. I wonder if saying those words, and meaning it every night for all of these years, has made a difference in our ability to be happy. I think so.

  1. Our family’s Was “Goodnight, ________ I Love You”, And Yes, Most If The Time, Yelled From Room To Room Also. Not Sure About Making Us Happier, Where Was This Video When We Were Raising Kids? Everyone Can Use “Happier.”

  2. We tell each other that we love each other all the time, and I think it makes a lot of the bumps in our lives easier. We know that we’re there for each other no matter what else happens. Lovely post.

  3. Finally got around to watching this. Very touching that people were willing to call and read what they wrote. I love your nightly gratitude ritual and grateful that I’ve experienced it first hand while staying at your house. I too am grateful you are in my life.
